Capt Jason is the real deal! I have been doing private charters for 20 plus years. Capt Jason sensed that it was going to be a great day for sailfish and actually guaranteed me success. I laughed at him, as I have been fishing long enough to know that there is no such thing as a guarantee in fishing. Well, he was right and I was wrong. I broke the boat single angler record! Went 8/9 on sails, 4 mahis and a kingfish! He actually wanted to stay out past the charter return time, on his dime, so I could catch 10 sails (which apparently is something to brag about) but I had dinner reservations with the family and couldn’t. I can’t recommend cool runnings enough! Especially on his contender, which handles the Florida chop effortlessly. -

Had an amazing fishing experience yesterday with Jason. My husband caught his first Sailfish and first salt water fish in under an hour of setting up. I learned a lot and I can’t wait to come back to catch my first Sailfish. Would recommend, 10/10 best charter in SFL. -

If you want to catch a fish and have a great time doing it Jason is the captain for you. On my first time out Jason helped me catch a sailfish, king mackerel, and shark all in one day. Could not recommend more. -

Another excellent day on the water with Captain Jason on board cool runnings. Smooth ride on the 32’ contender and skills for days. Was my sons 15th birthday and what better way to spent it than being hooked up on two sailfish at the same time!! Also brought some mahi back for tacos. I highly recommend giving him a shot!! -

Went on my first fishing trip ever and it happened to be be with Capt Jason. Honestly , couldn’t have asked for a better time. Put us on to some great spots from the start and came home with some great Mahi. Professional, knowledgeable and well prepared charter for our party of 5. Will definitely be booking another charter soon with Cool Runnings! -

Went Fishing for the first time with @Fishcoolrunnings. My group had a great time, Capt. Jason was very attentive and knowledgeable. He gave us all some pro tips had us catch 10 Mahi in less than three hours!!!!! Great experience and great vibes. Can’t wait for our next Charter!!!

Captain Jason Robinson
A South Florida native with a lifetime of fishing experience both inshore and offshore. Growing up in the Miami area has given Jason the opportunity to fish for everything from tarpon in the bay to billfish on the edge. The passion and love he has for fishing shows from the second you step on board. In the last 10 years he has competed, placed and won several world renowned tournaments. Captain Jason has been featured on multiple fishing television shows including "Bass2billfish" with Peter Miller. He also has extensive knowledge fishing all over the Bahamas and the Caribbean, bringing that experience to every Fort Lauderdale fishing charter and Miami sport fishing charter we run.
The Boat
Cool Runnings is a state of the art Contender 32 ST powered by twin Yamaha 300 horsepower outboards. The boat is equipped with top-tier electronics as well as a Rhodan trolling motor. Contender is well known for their fishability and ride.
